Question

When Adam and Eve sinned with the forbidden fruit, Adam got the punishment of banishment from the luxury garden. That had to be blow after all it provided all means necessary to sustain a good healthy life. Now Eve got dealt a tougher punishment, not only was she also banished from the garden, her place next to her husband but she got dealt child birth pains. Thinking about punishment, one must understand what it is they are losing for it be called a punishment, so I think she had previously given birth before Cain and Able, perhaps she had a girl or two before the boys. Otherwise how could she be punished with pain if she had known childbirth to be any different?

Answer

That is an excellent observation and question. The Bible doesn't go into detail about who was first, and girls are not often mentioned in geneologies. Gen 3:14-16 Part of the punishment is that there will be enmity between good and evil, regarding children (strike one); Before the fall, Adam and Eve were equal, now she must be under her husband's authority (strike two); she will experience pain during childbirth but it will be tempered with the joy of God's blessing.(strike 3 and they were expelled from the garden of eternal life. )God will cause food to grow for them but it will only come through hard work; and here we are.

Question

If God had planned all of our steps, and he knows all, than why must we be tested, after all he knows what the outcome will be?

Answer

Testing is for our benefit not His; we need to know where we are spiritually, what we need to learn, what our weaknesses are, and what (from God's Word) we need to meet these challenges. The testing of Job made him stronger, closer to God, and he got back all he had lost, after the test!

Question

Luke ch.18: 30-37 is this referring to the rapture?

Answer

This in vs30 is about the rewards given before eternity starts, to all those who believed and either died or was raptured. In vs31-33 Jesus is preparing the disciples for His death (upcoming) in Jerusalem. This all happens during Jesus lifetime, the rapture comes much later. vs35-37 is a healing taking place along the way to jerusalem.

Question

Acts ch.8 :9, is this disciple Simon?

Answer

Acts 8:1-3 is the saul who would become the apostle Paul in chap 9. In vs4-8 we have philip who was Peters brother. In vs9 we have a magician (not peter but simon was a common name.Simon believed Philip nd went with him to evangelize. When people heard what was going on in samaria, they sent John and Peter to check it out vs14.

Question

Rev. Ch.20: 4-6. Are these the 144,000 Jews?

Answer

These are all those who died as martyrs who would not take the mark of the beast(satan) during the tribulation. The 144,000 are Jewish evangelists, 12,000 from each tribe (ch7:4-8) they travel the whole earth evangelizing for God. The two witnesses stay in Jerusalem evangelizing the Jews.

Question

Can you explain Matt. Ch.11: 12 ?

Answer

During the tribulation, God has reserved for Himself many who will preach the gospel like the 144, 000 from Israel (like the apostle Paul) and 2 special witnesses which I believe will be Enoch and Elijah because they never died; but it could be Moses and Elijah like at the transfiguration, or anyone really. They die in vs8 in Jerusalem, people cheer because they brought such judgment, but while people are cheering, they are resurrected, and it all appears on cnn or any news satelite.

Question

Are the events in Revelation in order? can you explain ch.12 : 7-9 ?

Answer

Yes, I believe they are in order; in chap 12 we have the main players in human history: vs1-2 is Israel symbolized as a woman in labor (giving birth to Jesus); then satan (dragon, serpent, devil) in vs3-4 telling the story of lucifers fall (first name for satan) when 1/3 of stars(angels) fell with him. Then the male child, Jesus who is to be king, caught up to God (after the resurrection), woman (Israel fled to wilderness during tribulation) 3 1/2 yrs. Now, michael the archangel throws satan out of heaven (aparantly he is still allowed to this point to accuse christians like the job1. ) Some chapters between judgments help to catch us up in the story. Remember John is in heaven seeing this in a vision.

Question

I can't remember where I have read this but we recently went over it and Sunday school class and it was a passage about staying true staying strong to not lose your crown. Was this directed at those before Christ death if so how were they able to earn a crown before Christ died? or is it directed to Christians today who are saved , are saved Christians in danger of losing their crown?

Answer

There is a reference in Job 19:9 about God removing the crown off Jobs head.It is a noun and means an emblem or top.Pr 16:31 adds that grey hair is the crown of the elderly, meaning wisdom. In Rev 3:11 it says, "hold fast what you have, in order that no one take your crown." That church had no rebuke from Christ and was promised to escape the judgment to come. The crown in a figurative sense was to represent victory. In Rev 3 the warning is that someone else could have the victory that belonged to you, unless you are holding fast to your faith. In vs8 it says, you have kept my word and not denied my name. Other Crowns named in scripture include: incorruptable (1 cor 9:25); crown of life (Jas 1:2). Saved Christians do not lose their crowns.

Question

Do Angels have free will? It seems to me they must have since satan decided not to worship God anymore and become his own Master, in which he took others with him. And if he chose this way is there a chance others might change their minds later? Maybe heaven wasnt all as cracked up as they hoped itll be. Or will humans not be entitled to freewill since we have it currently?

Answer

Good question. I believe the angels had free will enough to choose who to follow, God or satan. Once they have chosen, they were banished to earth, this is where the chaos originated in genesis 1:2 because God doesn't create chaos. Their decision is final, their misguided choice to follow satan is not easily understood, like our choice to follow his suggestions today. Scripture says, we will judge angels; the fallen ones. I cant believe heaven is worse than the murders, lies, pain, and sorrow that satan produces. There is no plan of salvation for angels. Thank God there is for us.

Question

If God knew us before we were made, have we already been created in heaven and then placed on earth? Or are we created on earth? And that leads me into wondering about the aborted children. Will they repeat the placed in a womb until a successful life is created? If not what was their purpose in being created only not to live and share works among us?

Answer

Excellent question.Col 1:16 says we were created by Him (Jesus) and for Him. When God created the world all souls were created then as well. I believe God knew us before He placed us in a womb.(Jere.1:5) so we preexisted our physical birth. Regarding children, Matt. 18:10 says all children have an angel in heaven, guarding us; I believe God takes care of all children, aborted ones and ones that die early. The bible isn't specific on what happens after death but It would be a wonderful thing to grow up in God's presence, perhaps to live out an earthly existance during the 1000 year Millenium when Jesus returns to set up His earthly kingdom. Whatever God has in store for aborted children, it is His gain and our LOSS!

Question

I think the Bible says that when you sin you are not in the presence of the Lord, but it also says the Lord is with you always and sees all. Could you please explain this.

Answer

lord is always with you and will not leave you nor forsake you, but our sin causes a separation in the relationship. Although the Holy Spirit indwells us, we can grieve, insult, resist, and quench His work. Its like a husband and wife at odds, they are sleeping together but not talking. An unbelievers sin causes a death judgment to fall upon them, believing and repenting can move you into eternal life, but we still need the grace of forgiveness and cleansing 1 Jn 1:9. on a regular basis. you feel the separation most when praying, no amount of faith can erase the need for confession , which restores the relationship. hope this helps, sorry for delay in answering.

Question

I love God and became saved years ago. I do my best not to judge others and show kindness and love. Will God still love me and accept me in heaven if I decide to transgender?

Answer

If you belong to God as His born-again child, then God cannot love you any less regardless of the decisions you make on earth. If your question is what gender will I be in heaven, then perhaps Luke 20:34-36 can shed some light on this. In heaven we are not married, and there will be no procreation; it has to do with the new resurrection body. I don't believe there will be any bathrooms in heaven. We are to be individuals souls, yet perhaps known as we were known. 1 Cor. 13:12

Question

When a child dies are they still a child in heaven or are they older?

Answer

I have found no particular scripture that covers this, so I will just give my opinion. it is our present body which shows age. The question could also be asked if Methuselah would be 969 yrs old in heaven. We get a new body which is suitable for eternity. 1 cor. 15:42-44 I do not believe the new resurrection body will show age (yea!), I think we will be recognized by our personality or essence, so those who knew us as children would recognize us and those who knew us as elderly, will recognize us. I wonder about the aborted children sometimes; will God choose to let them grow up in the Millenial Kingdom? Whatever He chooses, it will be out of love and grace.
