WHY JERUSALEM?

Jesus told the disciples to stay in Jerusalem when He went home to Heaven. Why? Most lived in Galilee and would have gone home after Jesus left. This is where Jesus was crucified, and the religious leaders would have persecuted the disciples severely. Their enemies wanted them all dead. Jesus told them to wait there until the Spirit arrived with power (for them).

He could have poured out His Spirit anywhere, but He chose to release (the light) in the darkest place. Here is our principle. God wants the darkness in your life to be touched by His power. God doesn't want you to run from your problems, face them with His light. God can pour out His Spirit in your life, bring the light.
